Neurodiverse Coaching & Parent Education

Welcome to Outside the Bell Curve; I am David Wildkress. I am dyslexic, and I have been working to support other neurodiverse folks for over twenty years. Maybe I can help you, too.

  • “We sought David's support and expertise as we were navigating our daughter's neurodiversity and struggles in high school. He is deeply knowledgeable and friendly and won our trust instantly. David helped us understand our daughter's needs in a comprehensive way and helped us develop a strength-based mindset. He provided us with insights and information so that we might become the most supportive and loving parents we want to be for our daughter and her delightful differences. David successfully moved us from a place of worry to a place of confidence in how we might move forward in our journey.”

  • "With a keen understanding of the complexities of neurodiverse minds, David helps students develop strategies to manage and overcome their challenges, leveraging their strengths to become more mindful and successful learners. His knowledge, creativity, intuition, and patience is unmatched.

Working alongside David for several years developed and honed my own personal and professional skills as I observed his individual work with students and collaborated with him to enhance aspects of our school's program. Though I was his supervisor, he was very much my coach and mentor."

  • “David is deeply empathetic, grounding, and knowledgeable. Finding the right support for our neurodiverse adolescent in a neurotypical education system can be worrisome, heart-breaking and overwhelming. David was able to discern a few paths forward for our daughter's learning journey by reading her neuropsych report (NR) and the subtlety of our body language. Infact, he was able to catch something in her NR that no other consultant had previously. It was this find that shifted how we saw and supported our daughter. We are forever grateful.”

  • Working with David from Outside the Bell Curve has helped our son recover from some setbacks he experienced adjusting to the working world after a successful college experience. David has worked to improve his confidence by providing specific feedback so that he better understands his strengths and also by helping him see some patterns of behavior that were getting in his way. David has helped our son through a challenging time with his supportive and positive approach. In the face of a recent and unexpected change at work, our son has been much more resilient than he has been when dealing with previous unexpected changes, and we are thrilled to see his growth.
